Made in Newcastle (England) around 1830, this jug exhibits bright hand coloring over transfers, including a view of the bridge, a couple of verses about sailors and their "girls," and my favorite: Success to the Tars of Old England.

The jug is large--a full 9" tall. There are a couple of nibbles on the spout and the bottom looks like someone poured hot water in there and caused some cracking.
